e-Depot

Introduction

This Web site was a school project but we liked it so much that we decided to include it into our portfolio. e-depot is a fictitious company that was conjured up to provide a premise for selling various electronic products on the Web.

Overview

The purpose of this Web site was to construct a page where some page properties were defined through JavaScript, and where the use of dynamic dates and times form an integral part of the design.

Methods Used

CSS, HTML, and JavaScript were used in the interface design. Based on the date on the users computer, JavaScript detects what day of the week it is. The script then redirects the user to a unique home page built for a particular day of the week.

Because this was purely an academic exercise—whose sole purpose was to demonstrate the practical use of JavaScript—the site links to blank placeholder pages. As a result, very little content is presented.
