CSS Zen Garden

Introduction
The CSS Zen Garden project shows that sophisticated layouts can be achieved with Web standards design.
Overview
This page is a school project intended to prepare us for advance design using a strict Web standards approach. In the broader sense the CSS Zen Garden project is intended to inspire graphic artists to use and embrace Web standards design. This is achieved by the complete separation of design from content.
Methods Used
In order to achieve universal accessibility, this page is completely CSS1 compliant with minimal CSS2 implementation. All CSS validates to W3C specifications.
Results
A journey of discovery best sums up this exercise. I have been designing Web sites for over eight years. In 2001 old-school tables-based Web design was the standard and absolutely necessary to achieve universal access across multiple browsers. That was the past, the CSS Zen Project gives Web Designers compelling reasons to move away from table-based layout and embrace modern day design.
