Accomplishments

  • 2007: Recipiant of Tigh-Na-Mara Sea Star award for rebranding of tigh-na-mara.com.
  • 2004: A member of a five person Group Study Exchange to Mexico for Rotary International. Vocational exchange experiences included technology exchanges with various Web developers/software engineers across Mexico.
  • 2003: In a time of tight budgets and low company resources I completed a redesign of the BC Coastal Timberlands website on the Weyerhaeuser Intranet.
  • 2001: Complete redesign of the Solid Wood website on the Weyerhaeuser Intranet transforming it from a static HTML site to an interactive Flash enhanced site.
  • 2000: During a time of uncertainty and extreme change with the acquisition of MacMillan Bloedel by Weyerhaeuser, I created new recreation logging road guides for Port McNeill and North Island and completed a major update of the TFL 44 Recreation Brochure. Also developed and implemented the Environment Management System Web on the company Intranet which was crucial in Weyerhaeuser’s efforts to become certified on the BC Coast.
  • 1998-1999: Re-tooled and overcame many obstacles associated with designing, building and maintaining MacMillan Bloedel Limited, Solid Wood Web site on the company Intranet.
  • 1998: Designed the MacMillan Bloedel Limited tenure map showing all MacMillan Bloedel lands in BC.
  • 1997: Monthly winner in the 1997 CorelWORLD design contest. The TFL 44 Recreation and Logging Road guide won the best technical drawing category for the month of October/November.
  • 1995-1997: Developed and conducted a CorelDRAW training program. In the process of training over 30 people in the use of CorelDRAW to create presentation maps.
  • 1995: A member of the four-person team responsible for the acquisition of the Xerox Majestik - Cyclone printing system at Weyerhaeuser, Nanaimo Timberlands (one of the first of its kind in Nanaimo at that time).
