Hey hey hey! Spring’s finally here… and there’s tonnes of great music going on.

First off, I’ll be hooking up with Jenn Lally for a string of Duo venues up island between now and mid-May. Anyone who’s had the privilege of hearing this lady sing knows that she flat out rocks! Jenn and I did some sweet recordings together in ‘05. Check back soon.. I will be uploading a few of these recordings so you can hear for yourself what I’m talking about.

Next.. here’s something ‘right out of left field’… Remember that hard rockin’ band a few years back that I was in? Well… guess what? … They’re baaack… and here we go again. Victoria based ‘Foul Play’ will be hitting the stage again this summer… accompanied by ‘yours truly’ on guitar. The band has an awesome album on the market called ‘Caught In the Act’ … a real high energy, ‘ACDC’ish dig. Great name. I can’t wait to make some noise with FP again! I’ll update as I go.

And speaking of ‘full circle’… Got my personal copy of Theo Massop’s brand spankin new CD called ‘Choices’. It’s so new it hasn’t even been released yet. I got a pre-release because I sang backups on it. WHAT A BLAST working with Theo and Rick Salt laying down harmonies for 8 of the 10 ‘Choice’ tracks. I gotta say… and not because I worked on the album and not cause I love the guy to bits (ya ya ya ya..) … but I gotta say this is one of the best albums I’ve heard in a long time. Ask Rick… he’ll tell you the same thing.. he said it’s ‘one of the best albums to ever come out of his studio’. A great lineup of musicians… Billy Hicks on drums, Dennis Olsen on guitar, John Forrest on bass… and others!
